Integrated Philanthropy, the 1-1-1 Model
The CloudApps Foundation was created to help organisations further their social impact, and better the lives of those in need.
This vision is based on a unique 1-1-1 integrated philanthropy model, pioneered by salesforce.com:
- 1% Time – Empowering CloudApps employees to devote time (6 paid days off per year), experience, and passion to community engagements
- 1% Product – Donating and discounting CloudApps solutions to nonprofit organisations
- 1% Equity – Founding stock provides funds for awarding grants to nonprofits with innovative sustainability projects

The CloudApps Foundaton in Action
On the 7th December, the CloudApps team participated with the salesforce.com Foundation at the Heathrow Special Needs Farm, helping to setup and run a Christmas Party for their many guests. Marquees were erected to house face-painting, lucky dip, duck fishing, a puppet coconut shy, a very welcome hot drinks stall and a stunning catering tent. A visit from Santa and a local dance & choral group made the day memorable for all participants.
Mark Mathias, the worthy winner of the recent CloudApps and Global Action Plan eco-driving simulator competition, kindly donated his winnings to the Farm. Simon Wheeldon, from CloudApps, presented the cheque during the event on Mark’s behalf (many thanks for your kind gesture Mark!).
